Emotional Journey From Start to Finish! AND Male Alpha Hotness Overload!
The Review:
This book was one long emotional, angsty, tortuous read! Everything that could happen, happened. But it was well worth the time I sat glued to my ereader!
I loved this read!
Our hero, Axel and our heroine, Izzy are teenage sweethearts. He’s a foster kid from the wrong family and she’s the sweet girl from a good and open home. Their love is strong and eternal and they have their entire future planned out.
He leaves for the Marines with the promise to return and she stay back with the promise to wait. But fate steps in and deals both of these characters massive blows. While he’s gone, Izzy’s life takes a downward spiral and she gets lost in the emotional hell that fate seems determined to heap on her.
Years later, their paths cross and though they are different people, they still feel that connection, strained as it may be. Izzy thinks maybe fate has decided to smile on her and give her a second chance at life and love but she’s not sure if she’s strong enough to take it.
This story was completely draining but in a good way. From the moment we meet Izzy, her life is a mess, she is a mess and her emotional state is not just fragile and fractured but completely shattered. Life has not been kind to her and she struggles every day just to get out of bed. My heart broke for this character.
Switching from Izzy’s POV to Axel’s POV we get insight into both of these tortured characters.
When Axel walks back into Izzy’s life, he can't believe the change in her from the light hearted, tenacious girl he once knew. But he’s changed too. He’s stronger, angrier, harder and he is the perfect sexy alpha male who has a possessive streak so thick, its impossible to cut through. He’s tough and handsome and all kinds of yummy and when he and Izzy finally, FINALLY come together, they literally blister the pages and had me fanning myself for cooler air!
And to top it all off, you don't just have one hot alpha male but five.. FIVE!! Five smoldering hot alpha men in one book. Testosterone overload! But soooo much fun to read!
The Wrap Up:
If you don't like tragic, heart wrenching stories, this one might not be for you but if you can handle the angst, then I suggest picking this one up. Its well written, exciting and just un-put-down-able! I am so geared up for book two, Cage which is Greg’s story! Sadly, as of right now, there isn't a specific release date (exp. sometimes 2013), but when its released, I'm there!
