BOOK BLURB:
The first time I met Caine West was in a bar.
He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out.
When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.
You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend--smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married.
He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.
Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant.
Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy.
Oops. My mistake.
Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology.
I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right?
That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning.
Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant.
I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking.
Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West.
This was going to be interesting…

4.5 “Feisty” Stars!
Outstanding stand alone! A definite must read!
The Review:
Already a long time fan of this author, I can never say no to one of her books. And this book was no different. I loved the swoon-worthy, full circle story. I loved the warring, passionate characters. And I very much enjoyed the talented writing. All equaling to a must-read that I didn’t put down until I hit the last word on the last page! And even then, I hated seeing it end.
Story/Characters...
Rachel Martin hasn’t dated since her short term boyfriend/roommate/good friend broke up with her eight months ago. Being a music major at Brooklyn College, she doesn’t really have time for relationships, but when she finds one, she wants it to have potential. Not just be a one night stand. She’s also not the traditional music major who excels in any one instrument or sings or even writes lyrics. She just loves music. Paying her way through college and working full time at O’Leary’s bar and signing on to be Professor West’s new TA after her last professor passed away, she needs the added income to pay her way but when she meets her hot new professor, lines get blurred real fast.
Caine West (gah! love that name!), music professor at Brooklyn College, has a dark past filled with regret and pain. He doesn’t do commitments and he shies away from beautiful women who might want more, but the moment he meets Rachel, her sassy mouth and her “don’t mess with me attitude” draw him in.
One of the things I love most about this author is she always introduces the main characters in the most fun and unique way. Right from the jump, you know this is going to be a wild ride. When these two meet, it’s instant hot-tempers and combustible fireworks! But there’s also that delicious slow build that makes romances worth reading.
Rachel and Caine are super hot together! Rachel, though having a painful past, wasn’t crippled by what had happened to her and all she’d been through. She was compassionate, determined, strong and still light-hearted at times. Caine... wow, that man was s-e-e-e-e-exy! From the moment he and Rachel are introduced, they are at odds with an underlying sexual tension that had me anxiously turning the pages to see what happened next. He might come off as a closed-off, aloof playboy, but he had a deep, soulful heart and an incredible insight into all things ... except himself. He just couldn’t see the caring person he was and it made him all the more attractive.
The Wrap Up:
With dual POV’s and an easy to follow timeline, Beautiful Mistake was definitely beautiful but absolutely no mistake at all. It was flirty, fun, intelligent with a bit of angsts and so totally unputdownable! I loved everything about it!
