4 Amazing Stars!
Thrilling, Riveting and Absolutely Addicting!
The Review:
Saving Baby was a highly entertaining read that kept me glued to the pages, anticipating what was to come next.
With quick, decisive, intelligent writing, blended with excitement, intrigue, tons of twists and turns and a completely captivating story with just a bit of romance thrown in to round things out, this read will “wow” you until the action-packed end. I couldn't put this one down until I knew the outcome!
Story/Characters...
Seventeen year old Annie Rebarchek is in need of a summer job before she goes off to college and at the advice of her father, applies for a domestic assistant position with the country's infamous billionaire and leading environmentalist, Houston Monroe. But upon interviewing for the job and hearing the desperate cries of Monroe’s baby, cries in which Monroe nefariously neglects to respond to, Annie becomes desperate to get the job and help the poor baby who seems to be calling out to her for help.
As Annie immerses herself in the life of Monroe’s “team”, and sees the way in which Monroe plans to raise baby Chase, Annie decides she can’t stand by and let the abuse continue. On a desperate attempt to save Chase, Annie risks everything to give him a life better than the one he’s currently living. But Monroe has an agenda and an assemblage of outlaws willing to do his bidding, leaving Annie and her friends in more danger than any of them anticipated.
This author takes us on such a thrilling adventure full of peril and double-dealings. Monroe has led the world to believe that Annie is a mad woman and a kidnapper who stole his beloved baby right out from under him. Everything is stacked against Annie. She doesn’t know who to trust and those she thought she could trust, didn’t always turn out to be the allies she hoped them to be. There were so many times when one so young should have given up, but Annie persevered. She took those struggles head on and fought to give baby Chase a chance at a better life, even at the expense of her own and at the expense of her friends. I loved how bravely she counteracted everything Monroe threw at her. Some of the things she endured in this story were truly terrifying, but she handled them with so much sass and courage.
Teaming with Thaddeus Kostopoulos, a journalist who is more than he appears, and the only one who seems to be brave enough to take on Monroe, these two are in for the fight of their lives as it surely seems Monroe will stop at nothing to keep his name in good standing and the truth hidden.
The Wrap Up:
I had a great time with this book. With such a vague synopsis, I wasn’t sure what it would hold for me, but I was hooked right from the beginning. After that first chapter, I knew I was in for something special and I wasn’t wrong. It was fast paced, suspenseful, gripping and filled with powerful tension.
I absolutely loved this read!
