BOOK BLURB:
Holden Scott is the prince of professional football. At least he was before he lost it all . . . or more to the point, before he threw it all away. Now he's out of a job, out of the public's good graces, and perhaps just a little out of his mind. So when a friend offers up his remote lodge in the wilds of Colorado, giving Holden some time away to get his life back on track, he can hardly say no. The last thing he expects is to see a beautiful girl in the woods—one wearing a white, lace dress who appears in the moonlight, and leaves no footprints behind. Is she a dream? A ghost? A product of his muddled imagination? Or something entirely different?

Midnight Lily is the haunting love story of two lost souls reaching for each other in the dark. A tale of healing, acceptance, and the worlds we create to protect our own hearts. It is a story of being lost, of being found, and of being in the place between.

THIS IS A STAND-ALONE SIGN OF LOVE NOVEL, INSPIRED BY VIRGO. Non-Paranormal, New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

REVIEWERS NOTE: I received this eARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 “God Among Men” Stars!
Amazing, Mysterious and Romantic! Loved This One!

The Review:
Holden Scott is a NFL superstar, adored by his fans and the countless women who he enjoys with abandon. He’s also an addict and as of lately, a colossal screw-up. On his last chance, his best friend takes him to a remote cabin in the woods to dry up and get his head on straight.

Lily of the Night seems to be a recluse ... or maybe even a ghost, living amongst the secluded woods surrounding the cabin. This beautiful and mysterious woman instantly captivates Holden and calls to something deep inside him. And figuring out if she’s real has become a mission of necessity.

This review is going to be short and to the point. I’m not going to go over character or story developments because saying too much will definitely give this one away and there is no greater surprise than to actually be surprised.

I will say that this book was amazing and truly full of mystery with a hauntingly beautiful story that will captivate and consume you. I was hooked from the moment this book opened to the very last word. I enjoyed watching the mystery unfold and the author did a fantastic job laying out breadcrumbs for you to follow. But even with the bounty of clues provided, there are twists and turns you just don’t see coming.

The writing, as usual, is flawless. It’s different than her other books and I applaud her bravery in taking on something new. I’ve come to expect greatness from this author and she never disappoints. The story is beautiful and enchanting and definitely unique. I finished this ARC the day after I received it and I still can’t stop thinking or talking about it.

The only reason I didn’t give this one a full five stars is because I was left feeling a bit hoodwinked. And that is both a good thing and an unsatisfying thing. The conclusion was moving and fanciful and the design the author leaves us with is truly enchanting, but I also felt conflicted about it because I wanted the realism too.

But seriously, I’m being picky, and if I’m still dwelling on it days ... weeks later, then it was a job well done! Another phenomenal read by this author.
