  • He gives fair warning: “I am a dangerous man. If you have any sense, sweetheart, you’ll run down that road and never look back.
  • He is a possessive man: “Mine means I’ll find a way, Arianne. It means I will do everything I can to make you happy, give you as much freedom as I can. But always you will belong to me.”
  • He knows what he wants: “Demanding, hot and hungry, his lips moved over hers, forcing her mouth open for the determined thrust of his tongue. Possessive. Dominant. Ruthless.
