Without thinking, he begins watching her, and when the moment presents itself, he strikes, claiming Chloe for himself. For a man who is used to getting what he wants Nolan wont let anyone or anything stand in his way.

The Review:
I’m a big fan of this author. Her Until series leaves me wanting more each time I read or re-read one of the books so when I saw this book up for review, there was no consideration to it. I grabbed at the chance to read another Aurora book. But this one just wasn’t for me.

Nolan is supposed to be this highly dominant alpha male and trust me, I LOVE my dominant alpha males. However, Nolan didn’t come off as sexy and commanding. He came off as a complete and utter nut job with personality issues. Basically he was a douche. He “growled” and “snarled” and “barked”.. A LOT!! And not just in the bedroom. He was impatient and left no room for discussion. Once he laid down the law, it was final and you either submitted or he steamrolled right over you. He was more like an attack dog, raging around barking orders. It wasn’t alpha hot, it was alpha NOT!

And Chloe?? Well forget about her. She was basically a sex blow up doll. There was no character development for her at all. There was really no insight into her character. I knew next to nothing about her and the little I did know, I didn’t like.

Justified was told entirely from Nolan’s POV and normally I would melt and be begging for more but by the end, this book felt like it was filler scenes for a book I should have read before it. It left too many questions up in the air, skipped entire story and plot elements and the timeline was nonexistent. I had no idea how much time passed between beginning and end.

With all those complaint out of the way, I do have to say.... this book was HOT HOT HOT! The sex scenes were jaw-droppingly sexy. And when Nolan wasn’t running around snarling at everyone, he was sexing his girl up in the most delicious ways in the bedroom. Yum!

If you’re looking for a quick, down and dirty read with some hot sex scenes but not much story and absolutely no character development at all, this is a great book to spend a couple of hours with.
