I can never get enough of their amazing world building or their creative cast of unique characters. I hope you love them as much as I do and even if you don't win the giveaway, I hope you will check them out and give them a try. Sooo, let the giveaway begin!

Hi! I don't have a favorite creepy story or movie just yet, but I'm working on that this year! A good scary book or movie and even a mystery, thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Kara! I love all things scary and if it's got a bit of mystery in it, then bonus ;) Thanks for commenting and good luck in the giveaway!
DeleteFav scary movie is paranormal activity... not cuz I love it. Cuz it legit scared me!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, those movies scare me to. I love scary movies that make me think and those do. Thanks for commenting and good luck!
DeleteI like scary books by Dean R. Koontz!
ReplyDeleteI have never read one of his books but my hubs LOVES them. I might have to crack on open and get my scare on ;) Good luck!
DeleteHi!!! I love the Scream movies. They aren't exactly scary to me but I love them. I can't watch the really creepy stuff. However, I do like Stephen King books and movies!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Scream movies. Going to see Scream at the theaters was the first date my hubs and I went on so they hold a special place in my heart. And they are campy and good to watch over and over. Thanks for commenting and good luck!
DeleteThe scariest movie that i have ever seen was IT by Stephen King.
ReplyDeleteAhh, yes, who doesn't love that crazy, psycho clown :D I liked that movie too. Thanks for commenting!
DeleteI can't do scary so I am going to say Hello!!
ReplyDeleteLol! Hello back. Thanks for saying hi and good luck in the giveaway!
DeleteFavorite scary book is Silence of the Lambs. That was a great book but the movie was even better. I love this time of the year because of all the horror movies on tv and cable. My DVR is stocked with them right now. Just watched Dracula 2000 last night and Gerard Butler plays a really sexy vampire. lol
ReplyDeleteI loved the SOTL movie but I never read the book. I might have to do that one soon. I agree with you. I love all the horror movies that play on every channel. This time of year is like a break from all the "everyday" stuff so channel surffing is fun. I LOVED Butler in Dracula 2000. He made a great bad guy. He's one of a handful of actors I'll go see on the big screen no matter what role he plays. And the fact he's super hot only adds icing the the cake :D Thanks for commenting and good luck Mary!
DeleteMy favorite is The Legend of Sleepy Hollow :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed that one as well. The 1980's version was probably my favorite just because I saw it when I was a kid and the memories it invokes are nostalgic but the one with Johnny Depp was great with a spooky feel. Good luck Courtney!
DeleteThe first Fright Night with William Ragsdale and Roddy McDowell. It's not too gory and it has humor.
ReplyDeleteHaa! I LOVED the Fright Night movies. They were campy and fun but also had a slightly scary feel to them. I even owned the sound track when I was a kid and listened to it all the time. Great pick!! Thanks for commenting Anne!
DeleteMy favorite scary book is Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn (same author that wrote Gone Girl:)
ReplyDeleteNice! I haven't read Sharp Object but I've heard wonderful things about it. Maybe I'll pick that one up before Halloween :) Thanks for commenting Jan!
DeleteI don't really like scary books & movies. I am a chicken!
ReplyDeleteLol!! I totally get that. Thanks for commenting and good luck in the giveaway!
DeleteDon't really liked scary movies, for some reason it makes me think there's something in the basement! hahaha :) I'm a scared-e-cat
ReplyDeleteHaha! The basement is usually the place I stay far away from, for obvious reasons ;) Thanks for commenting and good luck!
DeleteI LOVE Interview With A Vampire, it has Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. They both was very young ;) And I have to say I liked all the Saw movies and Blair Witch Project scared the shit out of me!! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteAll great picks! I love all those as well. Thanks for stopping by Priscilla!
DeleteBook wise I've read several vampire books. I'm a huge Anne Rice fan. Movies, however, Nightmare on Elm Street is about the only thing I've watched. Oh I guess I did watch Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. Those were all good. I'm not really a scary movie person.
ReplyDeleteLOVED the Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer movies. And Anne Rice is one of my favs. Her books are just awesome. Thanks for stopping by and good luck in the giveaway!
DeleteMisery by Stephen King.
ReplyDeleteGreat movie! I mean when Katy Bates's character goes all stalker-fan on James Cann's character, it was heart pounding. That sledge hammer scene will always haunt me. Loved it. Thanks for stopping by Cheryl.
Deletei hate scary movies always have but the halloween movies always scared the crap out of me still do...lol
ReplyDeleteLol! Some of those movies really are scary, right? I mean, where do people come up with that stuff. Thanks for stopping by Jodi and good luck in the giveaway!
DeleteI love anything spooky/scary. The scarier it is, the more I love it. It is my fave genre in books and movies. I can't say I have a fave, although the original Halloween has always been one of my faves. I was 2 yrs old when it came out, and just grew up watching it. The remake sucks!
ReplyDeleteI agree! The remake sux big time! I like the originals better. There's just something about them that still entertains after all these years. I'm like you. I love anything scary. The more spooky or scary, the better. Thanks for stopping by and commenting Lori! Good luck in the giveaway!
DeleteThanks, Hazel! Glad to know I am not the only one who did not like Zombie's version of Halloween. Totally went the opposite way of what would have made it truly scary. Have a great day!
DeleteMary DeBorde
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites is The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson :D
I loved the movie but I've never read the book. I'd be interested in trying that one out. Thanks for commenting and good luck in the giveaway!
DeleteThe original Halloween movie!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the original ;) Thanks for commenting Cassie!
DeleteEvil Dead. Bruce Campbell is amazing. :D I watched an interview where someone got him ranting on the sequels, about how characters die in one and then are mysteriously alive next time. Hysterical.
ReplyDeleteBruce Campbell is the man!! He totally made those movies, which by the way, are some of my favorites. Sam Raimi is the coolest. I love the crazy, campy movies best. Good luck in the giveaway!
Delete:D I've kind of kicked myself for passing up an opportunity to watch them at the Cinerama here (biiiiig theater, with chocolate covered popcorn). Hoping they'll do it again around Halloween!
DeleteOh, actually, if you haven't seen it you should check out Rubber. It's beyond ridiculous, about a killer tire :D
DeleteOMG! I have seen Rubber and you're right! Beyond ridiculous but totally worth the time to watch it! I mean really, a killer tire. Lol! Who comes up with this stuff.
DeleteStephen King's The Shining is so scary!!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I loved the movie especially. And when Jack Nicholson axed the door and stuck his head in and said "Here's Johnny!", I was like holy crap! Lol. He's LOOKED like a crazy person. Such a great movie. Thanks for commenting ;)
Deletethe exorcist
ReplyDeleteYES! Definitely still gets me, even after all these years. Thanks for commenting Holly and good luck!
DeleteFavorite scary movies: The Conjuring, Insidious, Paranormal Activity, Dracula, and Grave Encounters
ReplyDeleteFavorite scary books: Needful Things by Stephen King, I Am Legend by Richard Matheson, any of Bentley Little's books, and Zombie by Joyce Carol Oates
Thank you for the chance to win!
Oh wow! EXCELLENT choices. Some of those I've watched/read, some I haven't but I'll definitely be giving them a look. Thanks for commenting and good luck in the giveaway Amber!
DeleteI'd have to say one of my favorite scary reads is Salem's Lot. It was the first "scary" book I read as a teen, and I'll admit that that might color my love of it a little.
ReplyDeleteI've never read that one but I heard it was good and I think any book we can cherish when being young is one that will stick with us forever. One that's stuck with me from a very young age was a book called "Chester, I Love You" and it was about a goose. lol. It wasn't scary, it wasn't romance, unless you count their love for the goose, and it wasn't all that great, but it's stuck with me all these years later. I have books I've read a month ago and I can't remember the name of but that one is still in there. Thanks for commenting Toni! ;)
DeleteMy favorite spooky story is The Hound of the Baskervilles.
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE this one! Yes, definitely a great read. Thanks for commenting Elizabeth and good luck in the giveaway!
DeleteI love anything by R.L. Stine.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
Happy Halloween!
I've not read R.L. Stine but I'll be taking a look now :D Thanks for stopping by Natasha and Happy Halloween!
DeleteI've been wanting to read the Cassie Palmer series! It sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteOMG!! You're going to LOVE it Kerry! It's so so good and I swear, I still can't decide who I love more. Pritkin (the hot hot hot war mage) or Mercia (the omg yummy hot vampire). Lol! The 6th book in the series come out in a few days and I can't wait. Karen Chance's Dory series is good too. It takes place in the same world as the Cassie series and has a couple of the same characters. Her writing is so unique. Thanks for stopping by and good luck! Happy Halloween!
DeleteI meant 7th. The 7th book is about to come out ;)
DeleteHi :) I don't like too much scary, so I don't have a favorite scary movie/book.
ReplyDeleteScary definitely takes some getting used to. And no worries, none of the books in my giveaway are all that scary so if you win, you're safe ;) Thanks for stopping by and entering Naomi! Good luck.
