Wow... Loved it!
Short Review:
I'm not a huge fan of short stories because I feel you can’t really connect with the story or characters in so few pages, but I tried this one based on a review from a friend and I'm so glad I did!
Jesse and Tasha go out on the town, clubbing in new territory to avoid Tasha’s ex in their old stomping grounds. But the club they've just stumble into instantly has Jesse on high alert. Getting chills from her surroundings and watching carefully over her drunken friend, Jesse tries to reject the offer from the VIP section, sensing something very off about the club they are in. But Tasha, insistent they go up and have some fun, won't listen to reason. When they get to the top of the stairs, Jesse is approached by the sexy owner of the club, Eli. The events that happen next will change Jesse forever.
In twenty pages, this author packs a terrifying punch! I could literally feel Jesse’s fear as she watched the horrific scene unfold around her. And without giving too much away, I can only say that I LOVED the ending and hope this was only a prelude for things to come and we get to see Jesse again because she’s definitely got a story to tell.
The Wrap Up:
I'm certainly not finished with this author. She has other works that I'm dying to sink my teeth into and I’m ready and willing to take them on if they are half as good as this short.
