Awakening starts out with our heroine, Sophie, at work, doing little more than dusting a shelf. Her life has recently been uprooted as the neglectful and overbearing aunt who raised her after her mom died, has now passed away, leaving her with very little. She’s set to get out of town for better work and school opportunities when a dangerously handsome man literally screeches to a halt in front of her.
In walks the mysterious David Preston who can’t take his eyes off Sophie.
She can tell right away there’s something daring and intriguing behind those dark looks and when he asks her for a date, she can’t help but say yes.
This little 39 pages of awesomeness was sultry, seductive, sexy and Ohh.Emm.Gee. HOT!
Was it exciting? Yes!
Was it steamy and did it get my heart racing just a little? DEFINITELY!
Do I want to know what happens next? HELLS YEAH!
Sign me up for book two. With that little cliffy, I want to see where this story is going because all is not right in David’s world and I'm afraid things are just heating up!
