I liked this book and never at any point disliked it, but I did find myself wishing I could connect better with the characters and I wish there had been more of a story as there wasn’t much writing devoted to plot or character building.

Bennett Ryan is a Beautiful Bastard. He’s arrogant, egotistical, self absorbed, rude, successful, wealthy, and intelligent… and easily the most handsome and virile man Chloe Mills has ever seen. There’s only two problems. He’s her boss and he’s a superior asshat!
Mr. Ryan has come home to Chicago from his several year stint in Paris, to head part of his family’s business. Miss Mills has been a loyal and favored employee in the Ryan firm for years and has been assigned to be his intern to complete her MBA. Upon meeting for the first time, he instantly rubs her the wrong way with his crass and irritable persona. She instantly rubs him the wrong way with her sexy as hell legs and luscious curvy body. They clash with every conversation but they work well together. He knows this partnership is going to be trouble but he’s a slave to his hormones and after nine long months of lusting after her, he snaps and a crazy, hate-filled sexy affair begins.
My Thoughts...
This books was filled with amazing sex scene after awesomely amazing sex scene. It’s pure carnal pleasure and the chemistry between Bennett and Chloe is off the charts steamy. Told in alternating POV’s, there was a bit of angst in the middle of all the many defiled surfaces as these two characters left no establishment unchristened, but doubt and dislike surround their relationship. Bennett and Chloe have ventured into a relationship shrouded in secrecy because of their hierarchy and also because neither one is willing to admit they might have feelings for each other.
The characters were intense and interesting but they had very little development. Obviously I loved their chemistry but that can only carry a book so far unless you're reading it solely for fluff. I also had some issues with Chloe. Her character was strong and formidable but almost overly so at times. Her personality was too sharp and bold, especially in the beginning. Both Bennett and Chloe were well versed in the sexy talk but she came off a bit masculine at times with some of the things she said. I would just like to have seen a bit more softness in her personality.
The Wrap Up:
You have to take this book for what it is. A hot and steamy read with very little story but so worth the buy with all its lusty goodness! The next book in this series, Beautiful Stranger, isn't about Bennett and Chloe and thats a bit disappointing. I would have liked to see them interact with business and people as equals instead of intern and boss. But if the second book is as naughty at this book, sign me up. I'm in!
