Sexy, emotional and consuming! I couldn’t put this one down!

Ahhh! I <3 Dean so hard!
This was a fantastic read! All the gritty, deliciously wicked things we loved about him in the first book, Vicious, were present in this book. And though not nearly as vicious as ... well Vicious, Dean still totally lived up to his sinful, egotistical, and man-whorish personality from book one. That is one HOT HotHole! This author knows how to write a complete jerk and still have him coming out smelling like the sweetest rose. In this book, we got to see a vulnerable side to Dean we hadn’t seen in awhile, and that shined through in his feelings, devotion and heartfelt honesty with Rosie. Rosie was a complex character and she pulled heavily on my heartstrings. I felt her pain and her fear and her absolute love for the boy who got away. I loved them together. They were sweet, their banter was fun, their feelings were strong and their chemistry was HOT HOT HOT!
My only complaint is that I LOVED Vicious and Millie in book one. I LOVED their story. And I HATED how we saw a different perspective to Dean and Millie’s relationship here. During her darkest days with Vicious, Dean was a small piece of solace for her. He helped her through some of the turmoil Vicious put her through. Millie was the outcast and Dean made her feel like there might be light at the end of the tunnel. No, Dean and Millie weren’t destined to be together, but the way he was with her is what made me love him in the first place. In this book, all those feelings felt altered and it kinda hurt to read. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed Dean and Rosie together. I loved their story, but I also felt some of the quality and story from book one was sacrificed for Dean and Rosie’s love. That.. .I didn’t like.
However, with that said, I enjoyed seeing Vicious, Millie, Trent and Jamie as side characters. We got to see how their lives have moved forward and it was fun, exciting and all kinds of emotional, especially when Rosie’s family tried to intervene.
And the ending? *swoon!*
All in all, a wonderful MUST-READ and one I’ve already added to my reread pile. LJ Shen does it again with a great story, fantastic characters and amazing writing! HUGE fan here!
