I binge read this series last weekend and here I am, a week later and STILL thinking about how awesome it was. I couldn't get enough! The missed sleep was totally worth it and I thoroughly enjoyed all the intense chest pangs and butterflies! There are still three more books in the works which I'm super thrilled about because I'm not ready to give up this series yet. I still have more reviews to come for this series, so keep checking back as I get them all posted throughout the next few days.

RATING: 5 Stars!
Mason Kade is not known to be nice. He is ruthless, manipulative, and unforgiving. Most will say that he is an a**hole and he is to those that cross him or cross his loved ones. However, he does not want to be who he is. He does not enjoy hurting others, but there is no limit to the lengths he will go to protect himself and his brother.
This is the story of how he came to be and this is why so many love Mason Kade.
This was a perfect... PERFECT... novella!
YES! This right here is how you write a backstory! After reading book one in this series, Mason quickly became one of my favorite book boyfriends. His intensity, his brooding, his anger, his blunt speech, his unwavering loyalty, the way he protected what he loved so fiercely, it was overwhelming... and HOT! All those things compelled you to take notice and absolutely love him. In this novella, we finally see what brought all that anger and Mason-like hotness to the surface, what hardened his heart and made him so distrustful of others and so jaded about the female population. We see what made Mason Kade who he is today.
His father's betrayal to his family, his mother leaving, keeping Logan on the right track while their family fell to pieces, the history with Marissa, meeting Analise for the first time and the first sighting of Sam. It’s all there, along with crazy brother antics and painful confrontations with his father and heartbreaking loss as he feels abandoned by both his parents. Mason and Logan against the world became their theme and this book shows why they are so closely bonded and why Mason would do absolutely anything for the very small circle of people he cares about.
As if I could have loved Mason any more than I already did, this book made it possible. A must read!
