The Review:
Wow! I mean, really. WOW! This book was fabulous. From the moment it begins, you can tell you’re in for a treat. The writing flowed seamlessly and the plot and story were executed so well. It was sexy, emotionally charged, and intense. This is a must read!
When Bennett meets Selene on the opening night of his winery, he’s captivated by her beauty and entranced by the way she plays the cello. He knows instantly he has to have her.
Selene has struggled all her life, both financially and professionally. She’s a bit envious of others who have more than her, but at the heart of it all, she’s a good person and a strong character. She doesn’t indulge much, but when Bennett attracts her attention, she allows herself a moment of freedom in his cellar.
Immediately, Bennett and Selene’s chemistry is of the charts hot! You can feel the powerful connection in just the way they look at each other. And when they are steaming up the sheets? It’s absolutely seductive! The author does an amazing job creating both intrigue and tension while also giving you some incredibly steamy sex scenes.
Then there’s Gabe. He’s a bit mysterious and you’re not sure what to think of him. He’s back in town and inserts himself into his old friend Bennett’s life, while also creating a threesome of sorts with Selene. Gabe and Selene also have amazing chemistry! The way he is with Selene is fascinating. The way the author introduces him, you think he’s going to be this dark, insidious force but he’s also sweet and caring in his dominance. I loved his character.
The threesome... Gabe is in town on a mission but he can’t stay away from Selene which creates a bit of jealousy and conflict in the story. Usually in a ménage story, there’s very little dissension between the characters since they are striving for a compatible lifestyle in which they can live happily ever after. I loved that this wasn’t exactly the case in this story. It made it “different” in that there were some realistic concerns on the characters parts as well as trust issues that aren’t usually there in a ménage story.
Along with the incredibly well written sexy scenes, this book has some fabulous plot twists that kept me glued to the pages, wondering what was going to happen next. Bennett finds himself in more trouble than he ever expected and Gabe and Selene are right in the middle of it. And that ending? Again... WOW!
Like I said, a must-read!
