BOOK BLURB:
I like fast cars, beautiful women and great sex.
I hate drugs. I can’t stand the idiots who take them and I loathe the bastards who supply them. Drugs cost me my whole world.
I wear many faces; right now I’m Doctor Lucas Callaghan and I’ll be him until I get my revenge.
My real name will be the last words to ever pass their lips.
I hate my name, Aoife Brennan, as soon as people hear it they treat me differently because of my father.
Medical school isn’t my dream, it’s his. But, it’s the least I owe him after everything I’ve done. I’m trying to be a good girl, but even good girls make mistakes.
He’s lying about who he is, she’s kidding herself about who she can be. They’re polar opposites with one very big secret in common.

EXCERPT
Craves the Angst asked Brooke what inspired her to write this book. Here's what she had to say...
I was visiting my grandmother’s grave recently. I hadn’t been in a while so I was there longer than usual doing some tidying up a laying some fresh flowers. Taking some time to look around I noticed a nearby grave I’d never paid much attention to before.
The headstone was slightly crocked and the greyish-green pebble stones could have done with a tidy up, but none of that took my attention away from reading the words on the headstone. The first inscription was a little faded but still easy to make out. A girl named Sallyanne was buried there in 1933 when she was just twenty-two years old. It hurt my heart wondering what had happened her to cost her her life at such a young age.
Then I read the inscription below. It was obvious it was much more recent; the weather hadn’t taken its toll on the words carved into the headstone yet. It explained that a man named Daniel was buried in the same grave in 1988. Daniel died aged eighty-seven. The very last line, engraved in larger letters than the rest read ‘’Sleeping soundly with my love after all these years.’’
It was just so beautiful. I had so many questions. Did Daniel spend the rest of his life waiting to be with Sallyanne again? Did the pain of missing her ever go away? Was he ever happy after she left? And the more and more I thought about these questions the more I realised, he must have waited his whole life to share a grave with the women he loved – because true love never dies. Never.
Later that same afternoon I began writing Lucas and Aoife’s story. And I know, this one is for Daniel and Sallyanne. RIP.
