A Perfect Ending!

The Review:
Love, LOVED this book. It was the perfect conclusion to a couple I will forever hold in my heart!

Broken Juliet picks up right where Bad Romeo left off, with a broken past and an unsure present hanging in the balance for our hero and heroine. At the end of book one, Cassie had just gotten a very private look into Ethan’s mindset while they were apart with the aid of old emails, and she has a huge decision to make. He wants her to try again but she’s not sure if her heart and trust can endure.

Their story, like in book one, takes place in both the past and present, showing us their journey to the now. It was heartbreaking, sexy, emotional and angsty, as all the show pieces unfolded, revealing all their pain and what lead up to Ethan leaving her behind. Like book one, it was all told in Cassie’s POV, but the author gives us little snippets into Ethan’s mind with his own journal entries where we see how fragmented and vulnerable he truly was. I loved that!

Ethan and Cassie’s past was filled with passion and real love but it was also filled with distrust and fear. Discovering they are two halves of a whole and aren’t complete without the other one with so many different emotions, both good and bad, running between them, only adds complication to the mix. But I loved how Ethan wouldn’t give up. He had an epiphany out on a deserted street one night and what he found was that his life, without Cassie in it, wasn’t a life worth living. His mission is simple. Win her back and live the life they were supposed to have.

And Cassie, with so much brokenness between them, has to decide if she can move forward with him or live in the same hollow world she’s been living in since the day he left.

The Wrap Up:
I enjoyed this read so much. I do think that things ran a little long with the beginning of the book being a bit slow and drawn out, but Ethan and Cassie will go down as one of my all time favorite couples. The author gave us a truly amazing story with memorable characters. These two books are going in my reread pile and I know I’ll enjoy their story many more times in the future.
