BOOK TO MOVIE GIVEAWAY HOP (Win a $20.00 Gift Card):

Welcome to the
BOOKS TO MOVIES GIVEAWAY HOP
hosted by I Am a Reader and  BookHounds running from October 2nd to October 10th. There are a bunch of blogs participating in this one so be sure to stop by each one listed in the Linky below. Each site has their own entry rules and geographic limits, so be sure to read the rules and enter their giveaways accordingly.

Books To Movies...

There have been some truly great movies that have come from books. Books carry a special, unique and cherishable feel that compares to non-other. Pairing it with our favorite snack or beverage, (in my case coffee or wine.. mostly wine ;) ), we can spend hours immersed in the world the author has created. And though I know an hour and a half movie can never really replace the ingenious magic that comes from ink and paper or even e-ink and a lit screen, movies can still hold a flicker of the allure that books do. For my giveaway, I couldn't choose one book or one movie that I felt I loved more than another, so I'm cheating and just giving away a gift card of the winners choice.

Go forth, read an amazing book and see a great movie! On me ;)

  25. I don't really have a favorite book-to-movie. Don't get me wrong, there are some good ones like Message In A Bottle and The Notebook, but I actually prefer books over movies because the majority of the time they leave things out or change the sequence of what's in the book. Plus books let us use our own imagination. :)

    1. I agree! I definitely prefer books to movies. There are VERY few instances where the movie meets the books expectations or even goes beyond them. And you're right, the mind is much more imaginative. Thanks for stopping by and good luck :)
