BOOK BLURB:
I'm not your typical girl. I've been running away from the memories that haunt me for so long that depression has become my only comfort. I was content in the darkness...until Wes Michals offered to be my light.

I didn't know that time wasn't my ally -- that every second that ticked past was one step closer to the end of something that was beginning to mean the end of myself. He tried to warn me. He promised me all he was able to offer--each moment as it came--but it would never be enough.

Sometimes when you think it's the end, it's only the beginning. Wes thought he could save me, but in giving me everything, he ruined me. Because after one kiss, one touch, I couldn't--I wouldn't ever be the same.

And from that moment on, his heartbeat became my own.

4 Ruined Me Stars!
Sweet, Funny, Sad and A Perfect Afternoon Read!

The Review:
In one afternoon, I went from laughing, to swooning to shedding a few tears. This book was a fantastic, emotional read that left me with a wonderful book high. It was funny, it was sweet and sexy and it was tender and touching. I really enjoyed this one!

Story/Characters...
Kiersten has left her small town where she’s basically lived under a rock her whole life, to go to college and experience all it has to offer. She’s shy, she’s a bit introverted and she’s innocent. And she’s tormented by the death of her parents, which causes night terrors and depression. But she’s determined to try and live a normal life.

Wes Michels has a secret and a really big one. He wants a normal life but knows it’s pretty much out of reach at this time. He’s popular, he’s sexy, he’s the star quarterback and he’s rich, but he’d give it all up just for a few months of normalcy. Then a girl runs into him, literally, and his life is irrevocably changed forever.

I loved Wes and Kiersten right from the start. They engage in a comical exchange that sets the tone for the quippy banter they deliver back and forth through most of the read. This book was fantastically written and the dialogue was perfect. I loved the characters. I loved the story and I loved being so totally invested in each chapter that I blew through it in one afternoon. One minuted I was laughing and the next I was swooning. Then when it all comes crashing down, I was brokenhearted. So many emotions in such a short read. Those are definitely my favorite kinds of books!

The Wrap Up:
This was a quick, wonderful read and I can’t wait to go on to book two and read Gage’s story who I also fell in love with.
