BOOK BLURB:
LOST IN ME is the first book in the Here and Now series, a spin-off of the New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Hope series. This sexy amnesia love triangle is intended for mature readers.

The last thing I remember is having drinks at Brady’s and trying to avoid eye-contact with my life-long crush—the gorgeous, unattainable Maximilian Hallowell. They tell me that was a year ago, but I have no memories of anything since then. What I do have is this ring on my finger that Max says he gave me, and this much-thinner body I’ve dreamed of most of my life. Aside from a case of retrograde amnesia, everything seems almost…perfect.

But the deeper I immerse myself into this new world of mine—planning a wedding to a man I don’t remember dating, attempting to run a business I don’t remember starting—the clearer it becomes that nothing is as it seems. Do I have the life I’ve always wanted or is it a facade propped up by secrets I don’t even know I have?

I need answers before I marry Max, and the only person who seems to have them is the angry, tatted, sexy-as-sin rocker Nate Crane. And Nate wants me for himself.

LOST IN ME is not a standalone novel, as the story continues in Here and Now book two, FALL TO YOU, releasing in June.

The Review:
Lost In Me was a fantastic story that was well written and still has me thinking, well after the last page was read. The characters were likable.. well, most of them ;) .. and I loved the mystery and the unanswered questions to this unique, puzzling, exciting book.

Characters/Story...
Hanna wakes up in a hospital room, banged up and in pain but otherwise healthy and in tact. Well, except for the memory of the last eleven months of her life, which seem to be trapped in an inconvenient case of amnesia.

The last thing she recalls is a night out with her gorgeous sister, with dreams of one day owning her own bakery and lusting after a man she’s had a crush on most of her life but who has never thought of her as more than a friend. When she wakes up, she’s engaged to her childhood crush and is the prominent owner of her life’s dream. Oh and her plus size body is now slim and fit.

But as perfect as her life looks from the outside, things aren’t as they seem and the plot thickens after she goes home and is confronted by an angry, hot rocker who is far too familiar with how to touch her in the most intimate of places.

This book completely hooked me from the very first page. I could so totally feel Hanna’s plight, her anxieties and her inferiority complex. She struggled with so many issues and what she needed was a good, healthy dose of love and support from someone she could trust. But even with her insecurities, she was a good person and her heart was huge. She absolutely knew right from wrong and when she thought she had done bad things, it tore her up inside and regret was a fierce competitor with the new life she found herself living.

I really enjoyed the mystery surrounding her life and the last eleven months. You get hints and flashback along with Hanna as her buried memories start to surface and you get to tie the bits and pieces together to form an outline of the things she’s endured over the last few months. And the picture it paints is a far cry from perfection. The author did an incredible job letting the reader reconstruct Hanna’s life right along side her.

Hanna has a supportive cast of friends to draw strength from and along with well written dialogue, I also enjoyed their girl time and fun moments that cut through some of the angst in this read.

And there was plenty of angst to be had, which I loved! Hanna has to navigate the pressures from her mother and Max, who she’s sure is the right man for her. But then there’s the rocker, Nate, who she is inexplicably drawn to. All this makes for some very interesting times.

The Wrap Up:
What it all comes down to, is I really loved this read! It kept me interested and compelled me to get to the end to find out what the heck was going on. It does leave off with a huge cliffy and not all the answers are given which normally would have me grumbling but I'm to anxious for the next book to be upset. I NEED to know what happens next. So count me in to be one of the first in line for the next installment, book two, Fall Into You.

About the Author...
Once a college English professor, I now write full time. I live in rural Indiana, where, when I’m not writing, I get to hang out with my husband and two kids–a six-year-old boy and a two-year-old hellion, er, girl. Not surprisingly, reading and writing remain my favorite activities, though both come in bits and pieces these days, not the big hunks of time I enjoyed before I had children. When I’m feeling virtuous, I like to go running (I use that word liberally. I’m really, really slow) or do yoga. Don’t worry, I’m always careful to balance out such activities with a hearty serving of ice cream or a chocolate martini.
