4 Super Sweet Stars!
Light and Fun! A Truly Enjoyable Read.

The Review:

This book is broken into three different parts written by three different authors but flows from one story to the next, concentrating on three friends, each of which find romance between the holidays and sugary sweets.

I loved each story. All the female leads were strong and independent and owned a confidence that made each one shine. Their male counterparts were hot, bringing a bit of spice to the stories. The romance was sweet, the conflict light and fun and the settings charming and realistic.

Though all three stories were really well written and enjoyable to read, my favorite was the last one, Sugar and Spice, written by Kimberly Kincaid. I loved her writing style. Since baking was the theme, I really liked her use of kitchen words to describe feelings, settings and characters. I adored the hero, Pete, who was a bit tragic with his shaky past but who was confident and delectable. The heroine, Lily, was sweet and entertaining. The story was fun and romantic as they baked off to win a cookie competition, each with their own separate goals but never falling victim to the competition.

The Wrap Up:
I love holiday books, where theres a bit of drama but nothing so intense as to bring the spirit of the season down. And the best part is, this book can be read at any point of the year so you get to experience a bit of wintery holiday cheer all year long! Loved this one!

About the Author:
Kimberly Kincaid writes contemporary romance that splits the difference between sexy and sweet. When she's not sitting cross-legged in an ancient desk chair known as "The Pleather Bomber", she can be found practicing obscene amounts of yoga, whipping up anything from enchiladas to éclairs in her kitchen, or curled up with her nose in a book. Kimberly is a 2011 RWA Golden Heart® finalist who lives (and writes!) by the mantra that food is love. She has written two digital novellas, Love On The Line and Drawing The Line, about hot cops and sexy chefs, with a third novella, Outside The Lines, due this summer. She is also thrilled to have collaborated on a Christmas anthology with Donna Kauffman and Kate Angell, titled The Sugar Cookie Sweetheart Swap, to kick off her Pine Mountain foodie series with Kensington this October. Kimberly’s first full-length novel, Turn Up the Heat, will follow in February 2014. She resides in northern Virginia with her wildly patient husband and their three daughters.
